We Make London – A Great Success
I exhibited at the incredibly well organised We Make London fair at the weekend. It was a huge success, there was some great stuff on display, and I got a chance to show my latest skyline – the view from Primrose Hill.
The press for the show was also great, and I was pleased to see that I was featured in both The Guardian and Time Out London.
I also showed some of my latest handmade books, which I am hoping to make a series of soon. These will be available to buy via the website, but do not hesitate to contact me if you want one before they go online.
Critical Tensions
I attended the 10th Annual conference at the St Bride Library last week. There were some fascinating things discussed, and it was very inspiring.
A couple of the highlights were as follows:
GraphicDesign& – Creates and Commissions new work to explore how graphic design connects with the wider world and the value that it brings. GraphicDesign& partners graphic design with other subject areas in order to publish books, host events and bring news to the culturally curious of collaboration that demonstrates just how much good design matters. I particularly like the collaboration between Graphic Design and Literature, check out Page 1.

The South Bank is coming..
I am currently working on the South Bank skyline, so those of you who like or have purchased the London skyline (North side). Watch this space.
It won’t be long now.
Salty Liquorice
I have recently completed an illustration for the local sweetshop. They sell salty liquorice, which if you have never had before…is what it says on the tin..liquorice that is salty!
You can’t find it in very many places, so having a shop on my doorstep that sells it is a luxury.
If you like salty liquorice, check out their website www.suckandchew.co.uk
After the event
For those of you who came to the Little London Fields Festival you will know that it was really busy and a great day despite the random array of weather. I had a great day and was really pleased with the positive feedback and interest in my work.
As you can see from the photos below, I have recently made some hot water bottle covers…these can be made to order to match individual colour schemes.
